The Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum

The Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum brings together leaders of New Zealand’s largest companies under the banner Zero Harm Workplaces.

Leaders make a difference

“What interests the boss, fascinates the team.” The Forum's founders recognised this simple truth and saw in it an opportunity to make a real difference.

They know that when they speak, their managers and staff listen. They also know that when they speak, wider industry listens and so do their supply chains.

The Forum works on a simple premise: bring the leaders of significant businesses together with government, and there is enormous influence to leverage action and meet the goal of Zero Harm Workplaces.

Every year about 100 people die in work accidents in New Zealand, and around 200,000 people are injured. Fixing this $16 billion a year problem requires new thinking, new levels of commitment, and it needs leadership.

The Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum is for leaders who are prepared to make that difference.
