Congratulations to Forum health and safety award winners

Congratulations to Graham Darlow (Fletcher Construction CEO), who was named Executive Leader of the Year at this year's NZ Workplace Health and Safety Awards.
Congratulations to other Forum organisations that picked up awards; Fonterra – which took out the Supreme Winner award – and Fulton Hogan, NZTA, Wellington City Council and Transdev Auckland.
And congratulations to Jules Fulton (Fulton Hogan Executive Manager) and Mike O'Brien (CHEP NZ Country Manager) who were finalists for the Executive Leader award.
Acknowledging good work is great way to demonstrate leadership on health and safety – which is one reason why the Forum sponsors the Executive Leader award. It's also a great way to lift the profile of health and safety leadership and to share learnings about what other leaders are trying.
In giving Graham the award, the judges said they wanted to acknowledge his personal contribution to the success of the Canterbury Rebuild Safety Charter, which aims to protect workers involved in the earthquake rebuild.
Despite living in Auckland, Graham chairs the Charter group and has personally driven its growth. His regular presence on the ground in Christchurch demonstrates his genuine belief that good health and safety is good business.
